Why Gan Kol Shalom?

Our Mission

To cultivate curious, confident, and compassionate learners who engage deeply with themselves, their peers, and the world around them. We aim to instill lifelong learning habits, respect for nature, and an appreciation for Jewish and community values.

Character of the School

A Wholistic Approach to Early Childhood Education

At the heart of our program is a thoughtfully blended pedagogy that draws from the best of Montessori structure, Waldorf creativity, mindful discipline, and immersive nature-based learning. This multidimensional approach nurtures the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.

Rooted in Jewish Values

We celebrate Jewish traditions in a way that nurtures cultural identity, instills firm moral grounding, and fosters a deep sense of belonging — while remaining warm and welcoming to families of all backgrounds.

Emotional and Social Growth

Guided by Positive Discipline and mindfulness practices, our program helps children build emotional intelligence, resilience, and empathy — essential life skills for navigating today’s world with confidence and compassion.

Nature as Teacher

Regular forest outings and nature walks inspire wonder, curiosity, and a deep love for the earth. By stepping outside the traditional classroom, children engage with the world in meaningful, sensory-rich ways that support their growth and joy.

Nourishing the Body

Caring for the body is as important as nurturing the mind and spirit. Our in-house kitchen provides healthy, home-cooked meals daily, made with fresh ingredients to support children’s well-being, focus, and development.

Hebrew Language Immersion

Our Hebrew emergent program introduces children to the beauty of the Hebrew language in a natural and joyful way. Through songs, stories, daily conversation, and playful exploration, children build a strong foundation in Hebrew, deepening their connection to Jewish culture while developing cognitive and language skills.
